Someone believes we cant have Atkins diet, as you can’t eat the cheeses, the nuts, and the mushrooms in anti candida diet. Well, everyone is different. Dairy and nuts don’t bother me at all. Of course a key ingredient to healing is a positive attitude.
It is basically very much like Atkins actually. Ok, there are no mushrooms. Some nuts (macadamia, pecans, hazelnuts, almonds) are ok, while peanuts, cashews, and most others are not. According to Atkins, mozzarella and cream cheese and heavy cream is ok if they all used in moderation, but I thought some people may not be able to use some or all of them. Atkins is very adaptable and the book even has a chapter on Candida overgrowth. It has worked well for me in 11 months. The only times I have had problems is when I went off plan. That was my fault.
Once you let go of the focus on what you can’t eat because of the Candida, you will be able to see everything else you can eat that is good and healthy for you. Find a food plan and try it out and adapt it to your individual needs. There is always a solution and you just need to keep at it until you find it.
